Later the bottle told me this was due to it not being filtered. The head was thick and offwhite. The aroma had some fruity hop hints, a little sweet, and some grass and corn. The flavor tasted like a beefed up macro pilsner, a slight sour taste. The aroma was much better. The palate and finish were crisp and cleansing. BeerHeadBobby (142), In Hiding.., Florida, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 17, 2006 orange, head is sticky to the glass, thin. Not as much Saaz in the aroma or flavor as I’d like, but still pretty tasty. Flavor is somewhat floral with a caramelly hint. I think this beer may be slightly oxidized. Not too bad at all. tcfishler (65), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Hazy orangeish yellow with a moderate sized head. Head dissipates quickly but leaves behind good lacing.
Nose of fruit and hops, the latter of which has a fairly complex profile (citrus and herbs).
Thin body but significant carbonation makes a tactile impression. Malt is biscuity but very subtle, apparent only on the back end. Hops are mouthwatering, even from front to back, and pleasantly (not aggressively) bitter. Finish is sweetest, but still relatively dry and bitter.
An interesting, satisfying, even sessionable pils that over-delivers for both the ABV and price. TheEpeeist (1458), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pale yellow with some serious white head. Leaves spots of lace half way down the glass as it settles. Lemon candies, mild dough. Rather sharp but not really a hop bite. Bitter lemon with a few sweet spots. A long bready finish with black pepper. Light carb, somewhat watery. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2006 Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours hazy golden with a decent sized white head with good retention. Aroma of floral hops, spices, and citrus. The flavor is spicey, bitter, floral, dry finish. Good body, good pilsner. vyvvy (2044), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Pours yellow with lots of carbonation and a huge white head. The aroma has smooth maltiness of a pils with more spicy hops that normal. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Taste is lightly husky malt that has some slickness and a little bit of a spicy bite. The finish get signficantly hoppier with more spice and a bit of pine. The finish is very crisp and refreshing. A very nicely done pils. I wish this was sold here in St. Louis. Oh well, there are always road trips to pick it up.
