| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 3, 2003 Updated: Dec 7, 2005(12-6-05) Lightly hazed straw with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, hay, apple juice. Taste is moderaetly sweet, peach, some earthy, apple, honey, fairly mild bite. Watery light-medium body -- limited crispness but nicely drinkable. This is nothing like the beer I remember drinking in the past, and I liked the previous version. (5/3/6/3/11)
(1-3-03) Hazy golden body with minimal head. Aroma is lemony tart, some German and floral hoppiness, and undertone of malt. Taste is German hoppy and lemony, very bitter aftertaste. Medium body and crisp. (6/4/6/4/13) bu11zeye (5672), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 11, 2004 bottle, unfiltered, room temperature in a lager glass: Appearance is a golden liquid, shining and appealing, beautiful. Big sticky mountainous frothy head is diminishing, but leaves a good 2cm for a long time. Excellent balanced aroma of fresh harvested hops, I'd have thought a mix of Saaz and Cascade, but description tells me not. Malt profile is closing to honey in nose, but quite restrained in mouth, maybe a sweet peat moss aspect. Pretty dry all the way, very herbal with a nice creamy/powdery texture. Surprisingly a mild alcohol note toward the finish.. Good, but I expected more following Jackson's praise. Thanks Mike! hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Lots of folks enjoy it... check out other ratings for accurate verbiage. I can’t stay far enough away from this beer. Too earthy and bitter in all the wrong ways. Just my opinion.
