Flavor is mainly corny sweetness with pilsener-ish grains, some hay and zero hops. Sticky and not refreshing. About what I was expecting from a Kenya pale lager...

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Bought solely for a bottle cap collection. Bad. Sweet grainy taste throughout. Worse than most pale lagers. Short sweet finish. probstk (1064), Nepean, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 30, 2009 500 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a Scotch Irish taster glass.
App.: Clear light golden with a fair white foam.
Aroma: Light buttery grain/cereal/corn, little else.
Palate: Medium-light body, medium carbonation.
Flav.: Mainly cereal/grain with some light apple juice and a little other fruitiness, no hops notes to speak of; dry with basically no bitterness.
Nothing to write home from Kenya about... Barnabus (30), Niagara, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Poured from the bottle a light yellow, with a huge, fizzy white head that lasted and had good lacing. The only really discernable aroma was moderate yeast and the taste was similar with a watery feel in the mouth. It might be refreshing after mowing the lawn, but even then I can think of many better alternatives. Cirrhosis (623), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Light piss yellow with hints of brown the cap is actually think and long lasting with lots of bubbles floating to the top, wasn’t expecting that. Stinks of musty wet basement with sweet malts and some very mild hops where noticed. Beer is is actually very drinkable sweet light and malty with just a hint of a bitter finish. Some elements of Euro skunk do show up. Lemony grass after taste. Better than I thought it would be. popery (198), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 20, 2009 This beer is bland and boring but better than most macro lagers. It’s a dull yelllow beer, clear as a bell, with a thin white, dissipating head. My new SN Hop Tulip is actually keeping some head on the beer. The aroma is sweet and simple but without any real fault. The flavor is a lemony sugar malt. It’s a quite refreshing beer. I’d certainly be happier with this beer than most in the style. pkbites (344), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Bottle. Stench of skunk upon opening. Considering that this is in a brown bottle (and not a GREEN or CLEAR bottle) that is a BIG red flag!!!!!!! Pours a macro looking yellow with artificial chemical looking white head. The skunky nose doesn’t hit the palate until the swallow. then it’s not as bad as expected, but it is there! A beer in a brown bottle should not have a skunky nose! WTF?!!!?!!! Has a light, slightly nutty flavor. Very light consistency on the palate. This is in the top ten of the worst imported beers I’ve ever had. IndianaRed (1562), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Bottle pours a clear very pale straw yellow. Fleeting white head. Pale lager aroma light sweet adjunct smell. Flavor is very odd smokey sour. Very light bodies and the trailer is thankfully very quick.
