Pours a clear dark brown/red with a light tan creamy head and a cool looking cascading effect. Aroma is very sweet with lots of brown sugar and caramel. Flavor is much the same, little to no hops. Sweet, would be a good dessert beer. Thick and syrupy and maybe a little bit cloying, but still enjoyable. Hophead22 (1056), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA Jun 15, 2009 Cask at the brewpub. Very dark red/brown color with a creamy head. Sweet dark fruit aroma. Very smooth of course, it had a sweet spiciness to it, maybe a hint of anise, very good. JohnC (2230), Mission Viejo, California, USA Jun 7, 2009 on cask at the brewpub.
