OC tour, tap at brewpub (reported at 9.5-10% ABV): Ruby and coppery hue with very good lace. The aroma has notes of fruit (plum, juniper berry, grapefruit), caramel, mineral, grassy and resiny hops, anise, and clove esters. The taste is fruity and acidic to balance a heavy sweet malt. At touch spicy and alcoholic as well. The feel is biting and lively with a warming character. This is really good and appears to still be young and brash. This is worth a stop if on tap. (Love the name!)

Cask at the brewpub. Very dark red/brown color with a creamy head. Sweet dark fruit aroma. Very smooth of course, it had a sweet spiciness to it, maybe a hint of anise, very good.

On Cask at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown/red with a light tan creamy head and a cool looking cascading effect. Aroma is very sweet with lots of brown sugar and caramel. Flavor is much the same, little to no hops. Sweet, would be a good dessert beer. Thick and syrupy and maybe a little bit cloying, but still enjoyable.
