It pours a nice dark opaque brownish gold with a fairly thick, off-white, fine-bubbled head. Aroma is not strong but hoppy with a touch of evergreen. Flavor is richly hoppy with some maltiness and a fair amount of bitterness. It goes down fairly smoothly and leaves a bitter, hoppy aftertaste.

Appearance: Lightly hazed, dark hued, amber body with a finger-high, creamyish, white head. Smell: Toasty, sweetish malt notes with a touch of light brown sugar. The hops present a good amount of earthiness, some citrus, and a lil’ bit of yellow pine. Taste: Sweet-tasting crystal malts with plenty of toasty accents and a slight hint of brown sugar. The hop flavor is largely earthy, as it overshadows the secondary tastes of citrus and pine. Medium-plus bitterness. The flavor trades off, going back and forth between the sweet malts and bitter hops until the bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Bullfrog IPA presents an inviting mix of malts and hops, for a nicely balanced, enjoyable brew.

Tap. Big red appearance, perfect white head. Sharp hop aroma on top of a bold complex malt body. Sweet caramel malt flavors are quickly covered by the huge hop character. A big IPA. Lots going on sweet and bitter. lots of pine, lots of citrus. if this was made into a DIPA... it’d be Dangerous! An absolutely brilliant IPA. proud to have it in the ATL. 7,4,7,4,14

Pours a slightly hazy deep copper color with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, toast, nice malt, citrus, and some nice spicy hops. Flavor is nice malty, toast, some crystal malt, some citrus, and a earthy spicy bitter finish.

Fairly decent IPA. Nice malt presence. Nice dark caramel brown in color. Pretty much opaque. Nice hoppy aroma. The hops don’t make as much of a presence in the flavor as they do in the aroma. Leaves some nice lacing; served in a 20 oz. glass. The palate of all Twain’s beers are too thin. I really enjoyed this one for its hop aroma, but the hop flavor was a bit muted. The beer was pretty good for a local beer. I have had bad experiences with Twains before, but this time it was a great one, especially with this beer.

Draft. Pours a nice copper color. Thin, off white head. Good amount of lacing. Piney aroma. Bready malts dominate the flavor. Hint of a bitter finish.

From the Jug at the GABF Colorado Convention Center, Denver 11/10/2008 Hoppy pine aroma. Bronze golden coloured citrus flavoured and hoppy with a slightly bitter malt finish.

Slightly hazed amber/orange pour with fluffy head and lace. Light malt and citrus hops on the nose and a flavor that follows. Medium bodied with silky carbonation. A beer that is more like a high end pa but certainly a very nice drinkable beer.
