Cybercat (776), Georgia, USA Dec 31, 2008 This one pours a warm, dark amber that is semi-transparent and rather appetizing. Flavor is strong and hoppy with a hint of lemon and an evergreen undertone. Flavor is very hoppy and evergreen-ish and has a good lemony touch, plus some malty tones. Aftertaste is fairly but not fiercely bitter. A must for anyone who loves hops. craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Oct 22, 2008 tasting at GDBTF on 10/18/08. solid hop aroma. big full body for an APA. this one drinks like an IPA with all those hops. nice underlying malt character. solid beer. Smell: Biscuit-scented malts with hop notes of flowers, spice, and citrus fruits.
Taste: Biscuity, caramel sweetened maltiness quickly gives way to a spicy, citrusy hop character. Light grapefruit and apricot fruitiness. Finishes bitter.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: A decent APA. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Aug 3, 2008
tap. Slight haze, light amber color. White head. Spicy hop aroma, hints of resin and a pleasant citrus. Flavor is a bold and complex malt character. Quickly followed by a very blanced hop bitterness. Great lacing. Bigger bodied than the Comfort XSPA. 7,4,7,4,13 RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Apr 17, 2008 On tap. Golden color fading into copper with a nice white head. Hoppy nose, citrusy, grapefruity, floral ... all sorts of hop things going on. Taste is nicely hopped with a good malt backing. Not bad. jrob21 (1249), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Mar 1, 2008 At brewpub. Nice grapefruit, apple, and citrus aromas. The hop flavor comes through and dominates a bit. Some citrus. Pours a golden color with a decent white head. Nice body and big hop flavor make this a flavorful pale and I’d really call it an IPA with all the hop shenanigans going on. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Feb 14, 2008 At bp. Golden amber. An aroma of apples and light hops. Malty and fruity with a very good hop punch. Good mouthfeel and carbonation. A better than average PAle with good hoppy finish and pleasing taste just a wee tad foamy to me. Sammy (3928), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 10, 2008 Good white head and lace on cloudy peachy golden. C-hop aroma. Creamy mouthfeel and then drying. Just an understated IPA these days based on the malting. Six malts.A very good pale.
