slightly hazy copper, dense creamy dirty white head, sweet grapefruit aroma, creamy body, lots of nice citrus hop flavor balanced bysweet caramel malt, nice long bitter finish along with residual sweetness from the caramel malts, a balanced pale ale from beginning to the end,

the sweet citrus aroma keeps getting stronger, sweet caramel malt, lots of hop flavor, better every batch

the full flavored citrus is still strong but body is thining out and allowing a bit too much bitterness to show through

Words: randall with jack and oak

picking up a bit of whisky and even oak, I didn’t expect this combination to do much in the randall but it does work nicely,

On tap at the brewpub on 1/26/07: Pours a clear bright bronze golden with a nicely-lacing frothy white head. Good, fresh grapefruity hoppy aroma has a touch of pale malty sweetness. Body starts with pleasant light malty and fresh hoppy balance. Very drinkable without sacrificing flavor or body.

Good white head and lace on cloudy peachy golden. C-hop aroma. Creamy mouthfeel and then drying. Just an understated IPA these days based on the malting. Six malts.A very good pale.

Appearance: Medium copper body with a small, white head and layered lacing along the way. Smell: Biscuit-scented malts with hop notes of flowers, spice, and citrus fruits. Taste: Biscuity, caramel sweetened maltiness quickly gives way to a spicy, citrusy hop character. Light grapefruit and apricot fruitiness. Finishes bitter. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation. Drinkability: A decent APA.

tap. Slight haze, light amber color. White head. Spicy hop aroma, hints of resin and a pleasant citrus. Flavor is a bold and complex malt character. Quickly followed by a very blanced hop bitterness. Great lacing. Bigger bodied than the Comfort XSPA. 7,4,7,4,13

VERY similar to the IPA, but lighter, and drier. The malt isn’t as forward in the flavor, making the hops stand out more despite being the less hoppy beer supposedly. Great aroma, less interesting flavor.

On tap; actually liked this one better than their IPA, which is normally not the case. Copper in color with citrus and floral hops in the aroma. Flavor was similar; good amount of hops for the style Good for the style.
