Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
A ruby coloured, malty Best Bitter.
Maris Otter pale malt combined with dark and light crystal malts, caramalt, and a touch of roasted barley gives this lush, malty ale a reddish brown hue. A light touch with First Gold, Mount Hood and Bramling Cross hops allows the rich, full flavour to shine through.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of biscuit, toffee, grass and pear. Biscuit malty flavour with grassy hops and a firm bitterness.

Half, cask, at The Cross Keys in Covent Garden. Crystal clear, copper-amber body with just a bubbly ring around the rim of the glass. Modest malt-fruity aroma. Mild resinous hops in flavour supported by earthy malts. Bitter hints to the finish. Very average for the style (London, 02.08.2009) (no.2470).

Cask @ The Fox in Twickenham: A tawny beer with a thinnish film of white head. Aromas of light toast with background hints of hops. Sweetish and easygoing. Nothing too dry here. Light roasted chocolate malts, very airy. Reasonably heavy on the tongue but does seem slightly too thin. An easy but slightly sickly session.

Cask at Woking Beer Festival. Poured a deep Copper colour with a decent head. Plenty of fruit in the aroma. The taste is also, malty with a hint of citrus. A well made beer.

Cask at The Bricklayer’s Arms, Putney, 29th Sept 2007. Light amber with a small frothy head. Hoppy aroma. Great balance of malt and hops. Nice bitter finish and just the right weight. A very good, uncomplicated best bitter.
