A fantastic nose. This ale smelled like a Sauvignon Blanc aged in wood barrels along with some apricots and peaces in the aroma. Truly excellent.
A really nice beer for the style. Really refreshing and remarkably drinkable. A nice zest to the beer with lemons and caramel very present in the mouth.
A great starter beer for sure. I won’t be having this one again but I certainly will be recommending it. Not bad at all. illinismitty (1797), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Bottle shared by Decaturstevo via Kenb. This was the first beer of the night. Pours a pale honey golden with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, lemon, and some faint european hops. Texture is medium light and refreshing on the palate. Malt flavors of pilsner and biscuit are countered nice by pleasant spicy hops and hints of citrus (lemon). Refreshing but slighly watery finish, with some dusty and yeasty notes. This was not too bad, and a bit under rated. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Thanks to kenb for this beer. The wet paperbag aroma that I associate with the style was there. A clean yellow pour with a white head and lace. A light flavor of fruit and paper (wet). The palate was a tad thin and watery. Overall a good beer for the style. It is better than I thought it would be. It is very refreshing, crisp, and clean. A good offering per the style. thanks ken jcwattsrugger (5361), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2006 on tap-pours a white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is sweet grain. Taste is sweet grain with a nice kolsch twang and slight hops bite. OK carbonation. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 18, 2005 I really like the aromas in this beer, but that was about all I found engaging about it. The color is cloudy pale gold with a light, thin head and weak carbonation. The aromas contain notes of honey, vanilla, and clean citrus. The palate is watery and thin. The flavor is easy, lightly hoppy with just a little additional payoff on the honey aroma. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 6, 2008 tap at the brewpub - Pours clear yellow with good lacing. The aroma is pale malt with light fruity esters in the background of both the aroma and flavor. It’s a sweet, light, refreshing beer as the style should be. It’s still fairly average overall, but maybe a little better than it’s rated. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

This one pours a hazy dishwater blonde with a tiny white head. Nose is malty, with some floral hops. Interesting taste. Sort of like a cross between a hoppy lager and a wheat beer. I swear i taste some lemongrass in there. A bit biscuity. Crisp dry finish with some grassy hops in the aftertaste. Moderate carbonation and medium body. Not bad, albeit a bit dry. mrbirmingham (37), Kansas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Aroma: A mild sweet aroma, with honey like character.
Appearance: It a pours pale yellow with a slight haze, with a medium white head that did not persist.
Flavor: The initial taste was of bread/yeast. Then it transitioned to light malty (sweet) character with mild graininess.
Mouth feel: It has a light body that finished sweet.
Overall Impression: I did not like the bread/yeast taste; once it faded, it became was nice beer to drink. I don’t see my looking for this style of beer.
