| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 10, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a beige head over a clear brown (SRM 20) body......nose is rich in coffee and chocolate......taste is coffee, chocolate, bit of hazelnut, slightly sweet throughout, until a light bitter finish....mouth feel is light borderline watery, carbonation medium. The aroma was the strong point of this beer. KAggie97 (2481), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Bottle at a friends BBQ - meh, I’m not a fan of brown ales, and the honey in here isn’t really helping the cause - I guess the earthiness of the honey is there, but it doesn’t really work with the chocolate and roasted nut character of your typical brown ale - a bit of maple syrup - a bit too sweet, and lacking depth. Poured reddish brown, with a thin, tiny head. Flavor was malty, with hints of maple. Carbonation seemed a little low. Pleasant, sweet finish. mrbirmingham (37), Kansas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Aroma: A crisp aroma of mild roasted malts with some grains. As the beer warms up, the honey notes begin to pop.
Appearance: Pours deep brown with an off white head. The head dissipates quickly, leaving traces of head on the glass.
Flavor: Initially I tasted the bitterness from the hops, then the sweets malts following up with dried fruits. The flavors are well balanced with hints of roasted grains and chocolate. As the beer leaves my glass, the bitterness fades away.
Mouth feel: It has a light body, with mild carbonation.
Overall Impression: It is easy to drink. As with their Cream Stout, if you enjoy drinking beers with subtle flavors, this beer is for you. I am seeing a trend from Twisted Pine; their beers are well executed and brewed to style. I understand why this beer received medals at both the GABF and Colorado State Fair. Their beers showcase their brewers’ talent and make me wish I could purchase some of their bigger or extreme beers.

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Little roast, little sweet malt, some may call it honey, on the nose. Flavor is some poopy roast, and some poop. Could be worse. Could be raining. But it’s not raining, so this brew still sucks. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Looks good. There is very little honey in aroma or flavor. A bit of malt, no nuts, some sweetness but not from the honey. Ehh.
