Pours a dull cheddar orange with a candy hops nose. Flavor is perfumed hops. Average mouthfeel. Too perfumy and too blunt. BeerandBlues2 (3231), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2009 Draught. Pours sparkling amber with an average creamy off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, cereal, meal), heavy hop (flowers, grass, pine, citrus), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of apple, pear, and pineapple. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. ¾ (5003), Oregon, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Rusty orange. Burnt orange fusel nose, charred/seared caramel malt with abrasive and putrid palstic-like hops. Severely chunky/full/chewy texture, reminds me of some ridiculous high gravity rye wines. Caustic, burnt nuts mixed with some semi-sour citrus fruit. Not good at all. The definition of high gravity amatuer brewing.
