Its pretty good-better than the SKA but not as good as i was expecting. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

Chocolate malts are most prevelant due to the low carbonation level. Just lots of cocoa and some coffee. Nothing to write home about. bkelley68 (467), Lakewood, Ohio, USA

I picked this bottle up at Liquor Mart in Boulder and just couldn’t put it down...literally! Super sticky bottle that must have overflowed while filling. Anyway....Deep copper/ red color with a mocha head. Very rich aroma with loads of chocolate, carmel, malt, vanilla, and raisin. Quite rich and creamy palate, with very subtle carbonation. Complex flavors of chocolate, roasted malts, wood, and fruit. Long, oily finish. Barely any hop profile. Certainly one of the better Baltic Porters I’ve had. Soft malty texture. Taste is light cocoa and chocolate, hints of roasted malt. Finish brings out more of the roasted malt and raisins. Only very light hopping in this beer, could use a touch more in the finish. An incredibly well balanced and approachable porter, I can see why this is so popular and hard to find! Big thanks to Ernest for hooking me up with this, I’ve been wanting to taste it for awhile. goldtwins (4085), Nesconset, New York, USA
