22oz bottle. Poured a dark, dark brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of roast, milk chocolate, some dark fruits (raisins and plums), roast, and light smoke. Tastes of chocolate, dark fruits, light roast, caramel, and vanilla. Creamy smooth body. Alcohol content hidden. Light lacing left on the glass.

Bottle on the reccomendation of Boboski. Good call bro. Lots of raisins, some alcohol, and milk chocolate. Black body with a medium head. Full and very creamy mouthfeel. Lots of great milk chocolate tastes up front, followed by some wood flavors, with a wonderful light citrus hop finish. This is easily in the stout category. Great brew.

22oz bottle via trade with Crosling! - Thanks Nick! - Pours black with a nice mocha head that stays well. Good aroma of smoke, prunes, figs, and some slight chocolate. Flavor is smoke, oak, chocolate slight coffee, and figs a little maple and caramel there too. . Palate is thick, quite sweet and full bodied. A very nice brew and great representation of the style.

Very dark brown/near black pour. Slowly and mostly diminishing light tan head. Oily looking, with mahogany edging. Chocolate in flavor is milky, complex. Some wood also, balanced with mild oxidation, dark fuits, vanilla and cola. Flavor is more of the same, with cedar and maple notes and cocoa powder, plus moderate yeastiness. Finishes mildly spicy, very tasty and exceptionally balanced. A little warmth from the alcohol is unintrusive. Medium to full mouthfeel, silky and inviting the next sip, which couldn’t come soon enough. Very delicious.

Huge thanks to Hopscotch for bringing this to the O-Town Throwdown. Thanks, Eric. Aroma is chcolate/coffe but with some dark fruit-prune, cherry-notes that meld with a bit of vanilla, toasted caramel and alcohol to give it a very enticing aroma. The body is black with an easily teased up, creamy tan head. The first sip is cocoa, chocolate, dark fruit, alcohol, vanilla and a sort of toasty/malty Schwarzbier like flavor. Very nice flavor and has a creamy/silky mouthfeel to it. I’d really like to try this one again.

Sampled at the O-Town throwdown. Black pour with dark tan head. Sweet malt aroma with little bits of caramel, vanilla and root beer. The flavor has root beer, vanilla, caramel, chocolate and burnt malts. In the back ground is a hint of alcohol warmth and Barleywine like dark fruitiness.
