Commercial Description:
A refreshingly light wheat ale with the delightful taste of raspberries. The flavor is subtle, yet very distinct. A popular beer that will bring back your best summer memories all year 'round!

Bottle: Pale yellow, nearly clear, slight pink hue, huge rocky white head, spotty lacing.   Very pale artificial raspberry nose.   Also seems to pick up a bit of sulfer.   Sorta smells like a fart.   Soft raspberry flavor, artificial, on top of a kolsch like background.   Yet again, for a fruit beer it is like most and goes the artificial route.   Wheatiness is there, but is minor.   Just another fairly average fruit beer.   Seems as if nobody can come close to New Glarus.

(Bottle) Pours a golden color with a small white head. Raspberry and wheat (no kidding) in the aroma. Well balanced for a fruit beer. Similar taste, with a good body. Refreshing. I thought this beer was pretty good overall.

Bomber poured a clear yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, raspberries and straw. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, straw and light raspberry with a crisp dry finish.

on tap-pours a thin, lumpy white head and yellow in color. Aroma is raspberry wheat. Taste is raspberry, musty wheat. OK effervescence.

This is just not the greatest fruit beer. Artificial, cloying and overall watery.

Tasted in My Brother’s Bar, Denver. Couldn’t help but notice that the other high rating is from there. Is is just their taps? Handily the best raspberry wheat I’ve ever tasted, with an incredible aftertaste. Absolutely delicious, this one will be coming back to Louisiana with me.

4 oz sampler at the brewery, 4/15/06: Hazy yellow. Very watery. Vaguely razzy but not really. Overall impression: Watery!
