Draft at the brewpub. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of malty and wheat, leading to a dry wheaty finish.

Draft at first street pub in Nederland, called first street wheat. Clear yellow, fizzy, watery, thin and very plain. Wheat character hard to sense, this may as well be Budweiser.

Draught, Pumphouse Strong Ale Fest, April 2005. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (lemon), lightly yeasty (sweat). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. This is the base beer used for the Raspberry wheat, and will likely be bottled for the summer (though the name may change). Not sure why this was being poured at a strong ale fest.

4 oz sampler at the brewery, 4/14/06: Big white head. Slippery and light. Cool and mostly non-offensive. Not much to it, but it’s well made.

Tap. Pours pale yellow, a tad hazy, with a small white head. Small wheat aroma with a hop nose. Wheat and malt flavor. Light bodied and fizzy.

Slightly hazy and golden. Crisp, light mouthfeel, but not necessarily watery. Wonderful malt flavors -- chewy wheat, nutty grains and a wholesome earthiness, with a curious element of woodsiness. Very mild bitterness. Overall it’s a mild beer, but it’s very well made and pretty tasty.

Tap at brewery during GABF 2009.
Pours a watery, thin yellow with an aroma of watery wheat. Flavor is malt wort and corn. Watery mouthfeel. Wheat? In name only.
