Very sugary, cherry-pie aroma, with baked apples, cinnamon, and cranberry. Aroma is mouthwateringly rich. I am not quite sure why I am picking up more cherries than apples in this, but I am (perhaps it is candied apples moreso than cherries, but I am sticking with cherries). Flavor is an interesting mix of apples, cherry puree, nutmeg, cinnamon and a bunch of floral notes. A bit thin bodied. Still, I quite enjoyed this, I would like to try it warm some time. jstraw (765), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Clear copper with decent, creamy beige head / Nose of apples, cream, and spice / Light to medium body, acidic, moderately sweet, with good, dry finish / Flavors of fresh cider, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cardomom / Spice profile a touch strong, but it’s a very good cider. ajm (925), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Bottle from West Lakeview. The first beer I have had that is distinctly a holiday beer and the apples play no small role. Potpourri and spiced apples are the main aroma and flavors. This cries for oak aging. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of cider, apple pie, cinnamon, apples, and potpourri. Flavor of spiced apple, sweet fruits, perfume. Palate is a bit weak, but the beer did grow on me as I drank it. Certainly a unique and interesting beer. With a stronger palate, this could be a really good apple/cider ale.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Bright apple nose with some spinach. A bit of horse blanket funk thrown in. Murky cider color. Some white chunky head. Tastes like a cider, but with some better malt and vegetable groundings. Nice and tangy with some vinegar notes. A note of alcohol? Enjoyable and tasty. Great for the rainy spring evening in Chicago. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Copper/reddish color with a very thin head. Strong, very strong apple aroma. Like freshly pressed cider. Light malt. Dry malt and grain taste. The apples turns from fresh and sweet in the aroma to a dried and earthy taste. Light astringency. The apple becomes more pronounced as it warms closer to room temp. jgb9348 (2499), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Crisp clear ruby-tinted amber coloured body with a thin tan head. Aroma of amazing apple cider, malt, yeast, fruit, spice, allspice, cloves and more tart apples. Medium-bodied; Nice apple flavour up front with a good malt backbone, some hops sort of tucked in, some mulling spice, yeast and a bit of a nuttiness. Overall, a good and potent apple flavoured beer that shows some spice, character and a bit of a kick at the end. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 20-June-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 04-August-2009. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Pours a brilliant clear ochre and amber, with a golden edge and a nice real soapy off-white head. Aroma carries a fresh spice cherry pie, almond paste, and wet apple aroma. Nice. Flavor gets weird. From a fresh cherry apple pie its all down hill until a light lick of fresh, canned pineapple. Some weird acids, spices and phenolic fruits that easily finds a home amongst potpourri. Along the way, a real fruit cocktail. Just like those cups. With the bits of old pear, papaya, and pineapple. Weird to have this flavor here. A lot of that candied apple ring flavor. Just not really in beer land. Not too sweet, not too try. Overall, a real meh.
