Anyway, this stuff pours with a thin head and an acidic dried raisin aroma. Damn, this is crap. Why bother brewing BS like this? I hate to be harsh, but whoever these Two Brothers are, they started it by infecting my mouth. I try to be nice and support micros and then they try throwing one past me like a Randy Johnson fastball. Damn them. I hope they are twins and don’t like each other but have to see each other every day. Man, that’s cold. 5000 (2638), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 1, 2004 Bottle pours dark caramel, small cream colored pancake batter like head, nice lacing, with ample carbonation. Light malts, grains, with a very subtle milk chocolate aroma. Malty up front, slight hop bitterness emerging in the middle. Finishes with a very subtle hop flavor, along with the malts. Decent flavor, decent mouthfeel.   Not bad, certainly easy to drink! Thanks goes out to MarkR for the trade!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 29, 2004 I alsways have a little trouble judging light flavored beers like this. Small, light yellow colored head tops a dark brown liquid. Aroma of toffee, green beans and some roasted malts. The flavor has lightly roasted malts and a little coffee. There was too much carbonation in my bottle. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 28, 2004 Color is a deep dark brown, head is large, firm, creamy, tan. Not a great deal going on, aroma-wise, some nuts, vanilla? Loads of malt, and just a sprinkle of hops, here and there. Yes, you could probably drink a lot of this, during some sort of "session", but I’m not sure why you would want to. There’s very little of interest here, no spark, no pop, no zing. Am I asking too much? Maybe...

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2004 Draft, at South Water Market, downtown Chicago It's appropriate that this scores in the 50th percentile at this writing, because it's exactly as advertised, a decent “session” beer and much to be thrilled about. A thin head that leaves rings above a pleasing dark brown body. Slightly fruity ale nose. The agreeable roasty malt flavor that has a peek of darker roasts, like it had rubbed elbows with a porter on the subway. Discernable English hops balance the malt sweetness. No more or less than a good session ale.
