Commercial Description:
Eight malts add depth and complexity, while English hops contribute a refreshing balance to this crisp and drinkable mild brown ale - a true "session" brew.

i'm wondering if i got a bad batch of this; extremely thin and no head at all. the beer is very pretty with a weak yet attractive aroma. i'll have to try this again and rerate if necessary, but right now i'm *highly* disappointed in this brew.

A surprising roasted aroma comes out of my glass with this dark brown beer. . . good flavours with some nuts and caramel, flavour doesn't linger - high drinkability which makes it a good session beer, but as such lacks anything too interesting.

brown with ruby red color, with large, persistant beige head. Yeasty, malty aroma, notes of caramel and chocolate, with a slightly off metallic note. Flavor is sweet with caramel, but pretty thin and slightly watery, with a bit of bitterness in the finish. Overall it's just an alright brew, even for a self-described "session beer."

This was a good beer. It is almost light in a complimentry way. It was smoky and slightly bitter with no bad aftertaste. I like it much better then Newcastle Brown. It does have an almost sweet coffe-chocalte taste but is real subtle. Two brothers makes great beer. It's good chilled and slightly warm. This session ale made me enjoy a brown beer for the first time. Not as good as trhe Monarch or Ebelweiss as it is still not my favorite style

Aroma of smoky malt and floral hops and a bit of chocolate, smoky malt flavors. Not complex, but extremely enjoyable. Very good example of the style.

Smokey and floral aroma. Taste a bit like rauchbier, but its not. Has a distint meaty flavor. Still good, but wrongly labeled.

Sweet nutty roasted malt aroma. Medium brown with a thin cream-colored head. Fairly complex and well-rounded, this beer balances a good variety of malts with light bitterness and even some sour notes. The smooth body finishes a roasted sweet and sour. More brewers need to make good session ales.

Thin but fairly malty brown/mild ale. Moderate hops. No head. Finish is smooth. Not a bad brew but not a whole lot going on here.
