| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2007 22oz bottle from 2006. Poured into Duvel tulip. Color is a murky brown with a thin head of white creamy lace. Aroma is sweet, creamy, caramel, hops, and vanilla. The flavor is well blended mix of lightly spicy hops and sweet caramel. A little bit of apricot fruitiness. I was expecting big disappointment from a hoppy beer this old. Not so - this is quite nice. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

Toasty aroma, notes of pungent hops. I can see the palm sugar in the taste, to a degree, also with a lot of 3 Cs hops and a spicy rye note. The rye is quite decently pronounced. Goes down easy. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
