Nicely hopped up with a sugary presence not to be denied. Notes of rye, sugar, citrus, pine, and lighter fruits. mar (1940), Dallas, Texas, USA

Aroma was Hoppy, roasted malt, doughy, caramel, very nice. The beer tastes really balanced with a nice piney bitterness and sweet malt, a little cherries and pommegranete come out as well. Body is smooth, almost creamy and very full. JCB (1791), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2009 12oz bottle from justn on BA - thanks. Russet pour, with very distinctive look to the carbonation: very few bubbles, but very large ones. The initial aroma suggests a malt profile similar to Arrogant Bastard, but the soft sugar comes through fairly quickly. Mouthfeel is average and there’s far less hop aggression than the Bastard hint would indicate, which I think suits the sugar addition nicely. But whether it’s the Simcoe dry-hopping or something else, there’s an odd tea-like finish to this that seriously detracts from the overall rating. Not bad, but a bit weird in the less than happy way. monkeychugg55 (242), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Pours a sinister burnt umber with a medium sized light tan head that eventually leaves a thin cap. Nice lacing. The aroma is wild mix of fruit and malt. Apple, pear, and vanilla, mixed with an almost peat like rye malt and floral, fruity hops. The flavor is just sweet at first, then earthy, roasted malt comes through with hop bitterness taking over soon after. Mouthfeel is mellow with little carbonation. Although it’s on the sweet side, it’s not cloying and balances itself out well. Very good drink, and nicely unique. WVHouseofBeer (390), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2009 This is one of those beers that just throws a wrench at your taste buds and says "Hey, i know you have no idea what flavor this is but it is pretty freaking good." My first from Two Brothers and it didn’t disappoint. Based off the classic Bible tale, this brew is an easy drinker with a sugary sweet taste. Tasted it along side the Old Jubilation from Avery and while Avery was better, this was by no means a bad beer. 2 thumbs up Two Brothers. kuphish (161), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a large, frothy, light brown, lasting head with a clear, deep bronze body. Average malt aroma of caramel, dark fruit and piney, citrusy hops. Sweet, malty backbone is counterbalanced with a heavy dose of hops with predominantly pine and orange flavors coming through. Quite resinous and sticky palate with average carbonation and a heavy, bitter finish. Some alcohol warms the back of the throat. Interesting beer, but somewhat overdone.
