This is very nice! Thin head fades quickly, but the flavor is crisp and refreshing. Nice style. Not as sticky as a pilsner, more to have then your ordinary lager.

(Bottle (best by 10/15/06) from Julio’s Liquors) Pours yellow-gold with about 1 1/2" of foamy white head that recedes to about 1/4". Aroma is a little hoppy, a little bready. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, slightly prickly. Sloppy, spotty lacing. Flavor is a bit yeasty. Has a bit of citrus - orange peel/lemon zing.

12oz bottle labeled best before 9/30/06. Poured a light to medium golden color with a very small sized white head. Aromas of grass, light honey, and same graininess. Tastes of lighter grass with a light honey finish. Not really complex, but drinkable.

Bottle (12oz). It’s stinking hot in Toronto, I’m sitting on my balcony enjoying the view, this should be a good fit. Bubbly gold with a decent white head. Somewhat sweet malt and very light spice aroma, plenty of grassy hops, definitely some bread dough going on too. Taste is very, very herbal hoppy - it’s fresh-grass sweet too, but this has a nice herbal bitterness to it, not a sweet lager at all - fairly long chewing-the-grass-too-high-up-the-stalk lingering aftertaste. Mouthfeel is pleasantly light, nicely carbonated, astringent - all in all a very welcome refresher on a scorching day.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a best before date on the back label, 10/31/06. Poured a clear pale yellowish golden with a thin foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing, light carbonation. Had a nose of floral and grassy hops, a trace of citric orange and a light breadiness. A softly crisp and smooth, more light than medium bodied mouthfeel, average drinkability. Grainy and slightly sweet malty with a touch orange taste, a light spicy and herbal hoppiness shows up in the middle, a very light hoppiness with only a hint of bitterness, stays behind the malts, and a sweet earthy and spicy finish. While Great Lakes and DAB have nothing to fear from this dortmunder, it is pleasant enough on a hot summer day.

Draught pint at Red Bones 7/6/06. Pours a hazy dark yellow color with a white fluffy head. Nose is corn and honey. Palate is nice and crisp, kinda refreshing with a light sugary finish. Flavor is honey and sweet corn notes with a nice fresh grass note to it.

Bottle. Poured an amber color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Light sweet hoppy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light bitter flavor with a smooth bitter finish of moderate duration. Drinkable but not a standout brew.

Dark straw with a small white head. Aroma was subtle or faint. Malt, hops. Light bodied. Some carbonation. The flavor was weak and watery. A very listless and uninteresting beer.
