Lots of citrus, malt and a bit of hop. Flavor isn’t so hot. Kind of a jumble. Bitterness dominates and results in a long finish. Makes me wish I was in France having one of theirs. Decent enough amber color. Not much head nor lace. Like many of the other Bro’s beer better. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2008 12 ounce bottle in Duvel glass. Hazy reddish amber with barely a ring head. and a little lace. Brown sugar and fruity aroma. Brown sugar mild caramel toasted toffee sweetness some peach fruitiness and watery finish with cloying sweetness and very mild hop. Medium body and and low carb, nearly flat. Tastes and feels like a decent novice homebrew. (I’m holding off on submitting while it warms up a little more.)
Nah, just ok. Could be spicier and more effervescent.
Just checked the bottle for a best before date: 7/19/08. I’ll have to give it another try if I can find a fresh one. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a hazy, amber body, topped by a small head of off-white foam, with some lacing evident. Strong caramel notes in the aroma with a hint of cherry. Full, creamy body with light carbonation, and a moderate amount of sweetness. Palate consists of a toasted caramel, tempered by a slight bitterness, which overall, balances nicely. Aftertaste is minimal, but on the sweet side. A fine sipping beer, which I would like to savor alone, while the flavor is not too complex, I feel that the aroma complements the palate nicely for a satisfying brew. allfreej (375), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2008 bottle BB 1/3/8 by way of monger and the mystery swap 3.0. pours a hazy rich amber color with a soft soap-like light khaki head. smells really sweet... caramel, graininess, toasted nuts, cooked candied orange peel, cinnamon-y buttered brioche and an earthy spicy hoppiness. it tastes largely the same... some floral qualities and a bittered finish. lingering aftertaste of walnuts candied in brown sugar. very sweet on the palate... especially considering that this is not to style. medium body with a really foamy mouth feel from the carbonation (think expanding blow in insulation).
