Commercial Description:
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

One of my favorite Two Brothers beers. Sweet malt aroma with notes of berries. Nice soft red color. Flavor is smooth, mostly fruity malt, not much hop flavor. Very nice finish with lingering plum or berry flavors. Very good all around

Nice effort to the style. Damp and yeasty with a bit of sourness. Wet grapey on the tongue with some hops bitterness. Heavy, but clean on the tongue.

Bottle sample pours filtered light amber in color. Sweet floral perfume nose with coriander and fruit notes. Floral, sweet candy sugar flavor with some sour grain husk character developing across a thinning finish.

Aroma matches the taste: lots of malt, with a nutty, wheatiness about it. Finish was not exactly clean, but drinkable. Nothing awful, but nothing great.

Good smell of malt and nuts. Nice Light amber color. It’s very flavorful, thick, and complex.

Aroma: Distinct smell of toasted wheat or buckwheat... very nice. Buttery diacetyl is quite strong, giving me the impression of buttered wheat toast. White wine is also detectable, as are a bit of fruity hops. Appearance: Clear cherry wood with an off-white, mottled head. No lacing. Flavor: Mostly caramel malts, with a short finish of herbal hops. This is mild and clean, tasty but weak, what the French might call "tres blasé." It wouldn’t hold up against many foods, but might be great with pasta or chicken in an herb-cream sauce. Palate: Very light and flat. This needs work. Overall: This is inoffensive and pleasant, possibly a good crossover beer.

12oz Bottle - Trade - Pumpkinheart
Aroma – Nice deep Belgian beer aroma. Strong with yeast and malts.
Appearance – Amber in color, thin head and clear.
Flavor – A very nice easy to drink Belgian beer. Not over the top sour the yeast was subtle not overpowering. Nice use of malts and hops.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Nice texture with a dry finish.
Overall – One of the better and easier beers to drink. I liked the flavors the yeast was very nice and subtle. A good use of spice. This was a good beer.

12 oz. bottle. BBY 5/9/08. Medium caramel aroma. Coppery amber color with a decent off-white head. Flavor is brown/caramel with a touch of bitter and hints of spice. Very tasty. Good.
