Commercial Description:
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

Opaque dark amber with little head. Earthy sweet toasted cracker aroma. Surprisingly tart and a bit on the watery side. Has the earthiness in the flavor with some astringency. Doesn’t come together too well.

Pour slightly hazed warm amber with a thin tan head...smell is lightly toasty and biscuity...taste is a little toasty but it really lacks a more solid malty character...nice mouthfeel...some off flavors in the finish...cardboard...

12oz bottle-A nice amber body with a small off white head which emits an aroma of yeast, caramel, and slight hops. Taste from this medium bodied brew is of malt, yeast, caramel, mild hops, and finishes with a caramel sweetness and a dryness. Another nice tasting brew.

Pours amber with a small head. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Flavor is sweet, not quite enough bitterness to balance it.

This beer disappoints me in seveal ways. Maybe I just didn’t exactly know what to expect, but I had hopes of something from the Flanders region or maybe that of a Saisson. Maybe, I was way, way off base. The description is pretty accurate until the end where it states it has just enough hops. I don’t ever want to read about just enough hops. This beer is very sweet throughout and drinks almost like, strangely enough, wort which has not fermented completely through.

12oz bottle. Light semi-cloudy orange with a medium slowly diminishing head. Smelled awful at first but settled into a floral-citrus hodgepodge with notes of caramel & toffee. Medium palate, sweet caramel, very subtle hop finish. I found myself liking this one more with each sip.

Pours an amber color with no head. Aroma is caramel, toasty, slightly nutty, and some peppery hops. Flavor is caramel, nutty, toasty, and a bitter peppery finish.

Bottle: Dense orange pour with little head...pretty tame in the nose. Notes of light malt, some tart citrus, slightly floral and not much more. Initially smooth and malt-based on the tongue which leads immediately to a mildly tart/funky finish. Somewhat dry and medium-bodied. Drinkable but not rememberable.
