Commercial Description:
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

Bottle: Dense orange pour with little head...pretty tame in the nose. Notes of light malt, some tart citrus, slightly floral and not much more. Initially smooth and malt-based on the tongue which leads immediately to a mildly tart/funky finish. Somewhat dry and medium-bodied. Drinkable but not rememberable.

pretty clear..full of floaties. color is a bright orange/golden. slight head at best. clean aroma...slightly fruity, slightly industrial. slight malt presence in the nose..much more in the flavor...sweet flavor and finishes with a grain cereal quality... nothing special here.

Draught from the Tap Room. Pours reddish amber with a very thin off-white head. A bit too sweet in the aroma like tootsie rolls and caramel. Same on the tongue sweet, toasted malts, a touch of rich clove and tartness but overall a caramel flavor. Medium creamy feel.

Pours a clear orange brown. Nose is a strong leafy aspect. Flavor is nice and roasted. Seems a bit leafy. Lasting profile. Feel is a bit thick on the liquid and smooth on carbonation. A nice example of this style. I usually don’t go for it, but I like this one.

12 ounce bottle Pours an amber hue in to the chalice with a decent head. Moderate carbonation rises to the top and forms an off-white 1" head. The aroma was a little fainter than I expected. Malty caramel and fruits, but not what I would expect from a saison. Same for the taste. There’s a slight hop finish to balance it very nicely. The mouthfeel was disappointing. Flash-in-the-pan wateriness and it was gone. No lingering spiciness that I expected from a saison. More of a mild brown ale to me. Not a bad beer by any means, but it didn’t blow me away. Good beer with food as it doesn’t overpower, but emhances. I would drink it again.

Well this was a pleaseant surprise to say the least. I only grabbed it as my "get drunk sixer" for consumption after I had my expensive beer fix. This may have been the highlight of the night though. Darker with a toasted taste that sticks around. Kind of pissed it took me so long to grab this.

On draft at Durty Nellie’s. The pour was full amber, almost coppery, weak initial head. The aroma was earthy caramel, floral hops. The flavor followed the aroma, caramel, earthy, nutty, finishing with a grassy, almost skunky, hop profile. This thing was also astringent, could have been a lot better attenuated, much more crisp, pretty much missing the style with an off amber ale, imo. I’m about done w/ 2B.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a small off white head. Aroma of malts, fermented fruit, bananas, and yeast. Taste of toasted malt, nuts and herbs. Minimal bitterness in the finish.
