Commercial Description:
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

GToMW 2007. Served close to cellar temp from Real Ale tent. Sweet floral aroma. Amber color with a very thin head in my tasting glass. Not too memorable flavor, a bit of a sharpness in aftertaste I wouldn’t have expected based on the aroma and appearance of this ale.

Pours reddish with minimal head. Light caramel and fruit aroma, with a light refreshing flavor.

A good beer for a hot summer day, but thats about all I can say. The taste was a little like wheat bread and a little weak. The color was nice and the aroma was OK. Pours with a thin head.

Dark red pour with small head. Velvet is the best adjective used for this beer. Like an american dark red ale but a little more refined. Smooth body with carbonation in a moderate amount.

Nice, lighy clear red ale. no single aspect seems overly appearant. Actually it reminds me more of a lager then an ale but rather refreshing

Pours a clear amber color with an off-white head. Light aroma with caramel, dark fruits, and sweet and toasted malts. Flavor starts off with caramel and toasted malts that give way to sweet malts and yeast. Finishes with just a slight hint of some hopiness but it’s very subtle. Nice beer for a hot, summer day.

This pours a dark copper, with almost no head. An aroma of sweetness and a touch of spice are just barely noticeable. The taste is a bit of toast, tea, and spice, with just a little bitterness to cleanse the palate. A pretty good beer for summer nights.

Chicago Trip. Friday 20:40. On tap at Hop Leaf. Consumed with the Lamb Stew. Lasting thin head on dark copper. Looks like a dark IPA. Not much for aroma compared to the balance of mussels et frites. Mild country taste builds with each sip. A bit rough, but a nice spice hop finish.
