Commercial Description:
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

Pours dark brown, moderate head. Strong hop aroma with mild spice. Solid mouth feel with a sweet caramel body and a hop finish. Very good, interesting beer.

Pours dark amber, small white head. Very malty with a big toasted biscuit punch, followed by a thick caramel sweetness, a touch of chocolate, and grapefruit hops in the finish.

Sweet malts, fruit and carmel aroma. Amber with a thin head. Good balance of fruit & hops, which make it quite "sessionable." Very smooth, with mild bitter notes.

(Bottle) Pours a copper color with a small beige looking head. Aroma was rather light, but included some caramel and a light molassas. Taste is very malty, with a nice solid palate. There is lots of caramel flavor to this one. Some hops towards the end make this beer finish crisp and dry. I think this was a great beer, and something I will definitely have again!

Highlighted by a rich amber color and delicious roasted toffee and coffee flavors, this brew’s downfall was its lackluster aroma and light body.

12oz bottle. Aroma: Lightly sweet, grainy maltiness with touches of biscuit and caramel. Some light hoppiness with notes of orange zest and floral, and herbs. Appearance: Light copper in color and clear. Light khaki head was small and foamy with fair retention. Not much lacing. Flavor: Grainy maltiness with biscuity notes, caramel, honey, orange zest, light clove, floral hoppiness. Slightly sweet finish. Palate: Medium bodied. medium carbonation. Overall: Nice beer. Had a couple of these and they went down smooth.

From the beer of the month club. I remember this beer from when I stayed in Chicago for several weeks. 12 oz. Bottle. Pours a clear copper/gold color with a white head and weepy lacing. Strong aroma of sweet malt and some fruit. The flavor has a good malt profile that is very smooth in the finish. Well made beer.

Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Poured clear brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate sweet citrus aroma. Light to medium body with a dry texture. Medium sweet malty flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where not met.
