| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Sampled at Clark St. Ale House, Chicago - Aug 2006. Pours dark copper with a white head. Fresh grain/wort, dark fruit and caramel in the nose. Flavor has notes of caramel, strong toffee, a flowery character, grass/hay and a touch of pepper. Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation. Solid. guzzler67 (1283), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 13, 2006 Medium amber appearance with virtually no head or lacing. Sweet, caramel malt aroma along with some fruitiness. Taste did not stray too far from the same attributes. Finish was drier than the early sweetness had led me to expect, although it did not linger very long. Had higher expectations, especially considering the style. skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2006 Looks and tastes more like a thick marzen. The flavor has a little roast to it as well as maple. There is a mild level of funkiness that comes out only on the finish. Despite some twists, pretty average overall. BenDover (128), Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Nice. But not nice enough. Because of the "French" label, I expected something a bit more skunky, a bit more sour, a bit more intense. This is a fine beer, but it doesn’t come close to some better French-styles that I’ve had. That’s almost the mantra of Two Brothers. Good, but not quite there yet. holdenn (1443), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2006 12oz bottle pours amber with a quickly receding head. Toasted malt aroma, light fruit and sweet carmel flavor, overly sweet. Lightly hopped finish. Not too different from most american ambers. greenhorn1 (461), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a merky amber with no head and little carbonation. Carmel with fruity characteristics. It finishes a bit dry with notes of spices and floral bitterness. I am not familiar with this style of beer, but I was not too impressed.
