Very wierd beer -- and I mean that in a bad way. Nice appearance, but the flavor was just odd. Someone else at my table thought that the after-taste had a cheese flavor to it. Not recommended. thegreenrooster (1846), St.louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Translucent and shiny brass in color with a few wisps for a head. Aroma is accentuated by grass, caramel, pine, melon and sweet sourdough. Hops are fairly discernable as well. Grass and cedar elements are first to the flavor forefront. Distant flavoring, but not watery, pulling out characteristics from caramel honey bread and corn fritters. Medium-bodied, bright and palatable. Could use more sprits and carbonation, not to mention an amplified countryside malt profile. Passive bitterness in the finish. One of the better beers from this brewery.
