Commercial Description:
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

Ordered for the first time in Chicago as part of a sampler featuring Two Brothers products. Very wierd beer -- and I mean that in a bad way. Nice appearance, but the flavor was just odd. Someone else at my table thought that the after-taste had a cheese flavor to it. Not recommended.

Pour is a dark red with a tan head. Aroma is deffinatly carmel malts. Flavor is carmel and molasses with a nice hop touch to it. Very nice and complex.

Translucent and shiny brass in color with a few wisps for a head. Aroma is accentuated by grass, caramel, pine, melon and sweet sourdough. Hops are fairly discernable as well. Grass and cedar elements are first to the flavor forefront. Distant flavoring, but not watery, pulling out characteristics from caramel honey bread and corn fritters. Medium-bodied, bright and palatable. Could use more sprits and carbonation, not to mention an amplified countryside malt profile. Passive bitterness in the finish. One of the better beers from this brewery.

Color is standard: clear and golden. Very light and crisp; flavor fades fast. Seems like a good "sippable" beer or for the non-beer drinker.

Pretty weird tasting brew. Smells kind of like a stout. The taste is funky. Like apples, stout, and wine mixed together.

Pours golden amber with ring of film. Big musty, woody, farmhouse aroma. Which is usually good just something is off here. Flavor very euro-lager/skunk. Just doesn’t cut it for me.

Nice clear dark amber with a light tan head. Mild smell of caramel and light roasted grains. Medium bodied . Decent taste of honey wheat bread. Finishes crisp and clean. Not bad.

Pours a clear amber color, similar to applejuice. small white head around the rim. Aroma is musty, apples caramel. Flavor is bitter dry start, moves into a sweet fruity body, caramel and toasted malt flavors. Very nice!
