Aroma has a lot of fruity cherry and apple notes, a floral hops note, sweet caramel malt and lots of toasted Munich malt comes through. Flavor is a very smooth sweetness with an apple sweetness really hitting first, followed by a sweet caramel and toasted malt note. Overall the beer is one that can be enjoyed any time of the year with the sweet, but not overly sweet, profile. Slipstream (769), USA

Medium bodied and smooth with a tingly aftertaste. Very nice. This is a good all purpose brew. fbenz (5), Andover, Minnesota, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2009 Slightly malty aroma, copper/amber color. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2009 Two-finger head with some staying power and good lace. Dark amber color with a slight haze.
Dark crystal malt aroma. Muted hop.
Full flavor and body--creamy texture. Good balance--the malt is not sweet, but it is not overly dry either. The hop is present throughout the taste and after the swallow.
This is a fine offering. I didn’t notice the usual off flavors I associate with French country ales. I’d equate it to a very good pale ale. shawnm213 (951), South Bend, Indiana, USA

Poured a dark brown/amber with a minimal white head that reduced down to a small ring, and negligible lacing. The aroma was a hint of yeast and grain, malt, a little toast, and some caramel sweetness. The flavor added to these some low hop bitterness. A decent, quaffable ale. noompa (130), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Uncomplicated kettle corn, floral aroma. Flavor is caramel, earthy nuttiness, slightly forced bitterness. Body was a little tight. Goes well w/ grilled cheese and tomato soup. jimmack34 (569), Lancaster, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2009 12 oz bottle. pours a ruby orange in color with a decent, yet persistant, off white head. Smells of spicy malt and mild wet hops. Tastes of a very nicely balanced malt/hop marriage. The malt has a slightly roasty taste while the hops has a cleverly balancing characteristic. Tastes like a scottish ale or even alot like Goose Island Mild Winter, which both are very good. Very good beer.
