Commercial Description:
With nice, malty sweetness and a soft aroma of clove, vanilla and banana, this German-style hefe weizen is unfiltered for a glowing orange hue.

Bottle, best by 9/3/08. Aroma fairly typical for a hefe, but a bit fruitier outside of banana. Flavor quite sweet and fruity, spicy finish. Not bad, a bit sweet and a bit boring.

Bottle, thanks to akevitt for sharing. Pours a hazy orange body with a short-lasting white head. Aroma of malts, wheat, and citrus. Flavor is more of the same with more citrus and lemon. Light bodied and very drinkable. Finishes crisp and clean.

Really did not care for this brew and was hard to finish. Pours a light golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is cloves, bananas and some light citrus. Flavor was sour and soapy with hints of banana, clove and vanilla. Wasn’t the worst thing I have had it just did not mesh with my palate.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at Party Liquors (Steger, IL). Pours a nice cloudy orangeish-gold hue with a decent white billowy head. Aromas are nice, consisting of clove, banana, and touches of vanilla. Initial is nice, largely sweet malt consisting of clove and banana esters. Mid way through, more citrus lemon comes through. Finishes sour and not as smooth as hoped for. Ok, finish turns it weak.

Pours a cloudy gold with a very thin white head. Nice aroma of vanilla and banana as advertised. Goes down smooth, but I thought it was a little too sweet. Wish it had a little more carbonation. I didn’t taste that much clove, but I am not the biggest fan so that was probably a good thing.

Pours a very thick and murky orange-bronze colour with much sediment. Sort of resembled a bloody mary in appearance. Little head with great retention but no lacing. All sorts of shit floating around in here. Very creamy mouthfeel. Flavas of orange peel, cloves, mangoe and nectarines. Aroma is pleasent, similar to juicy fruit aromas. In my opinion, fantastic hef.

[Bottle, thanks Guerde!] Pours hazy orange with a fairly small white head. Aroma is banana and cloves--simple, but its nice. Taste is pretty weak, with the same banana and cloves but to a lesser degree, and also a decent amount of wheat and some bubblegum. Mouthfeel is just a little thin with an average finish. The high point of this beer is the aroma, with the taste ending up a bit of a let-down. Overall it is a pretty average beer.
