Oct 21, 2008 Good beer. Citrusy hops with light malt finish. Wet hops create a tangier profile, which is nice. Very drinkable and a good one to have around. Would recommend to someone that likes a moderately hoppy beer.

Oct 21, 2008 Pours a dark auburn in color with about an inch of head. Smell is juicy hops. Quite floral and aromatic. Taste is slightly bittering and citrusy, juicy. Decent IPA. This is really easy drinking and enjoyable. Plenty of soapy lacing sticking to the insides of the glass.

Oct 18, 2008 Large white head that sticks around all the way to the bottom of the glass. Excellent lacing. Strong citrus hop aroma. Caramel malts take over at the end. Hops are a little too harsh. Mouthfeel not heavy enough - feels almost like a light beer. Still, an above average IPA.

Oct 15, 2008 Bottle shared by robert at stateline.. Light orange in color, decent head. Not much aroma. Taste was hops but I guess that is the taste of the "wet hops". Different from most IPA’s, I am used to stuff being "dry hopped". Overall, still a decent beer. Thanks robert for sharing.

Oct 9, 2008 Lot 2678- via piscator34- thanks Kris. Appearance- cloudy dark orange/red grapefruit, minimal head. Nose- sharp citrus and some toasty malt. Taste- hoppy twang initially which is quickly overtaken by chewy caramel malts. Quite thick in body for size of beer. Finishes with earthy dryness. Didn’t have the fresh hop character I thought it would. More malts than hops in this brew

Oct 9, 2008 Bottled sample, lot #2678. Clear dark orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas start with a solid burst of sweet tangerine and wet floral and herbal notes, with some malty notes bringing up the rear. There’s a slight letdown in the flavor department; the wet hop character is still there (along with some pine sap), but the malts are too caramel/hard candy sweet, throwing things out of balance. Medium bodied with moderate bitterness. A pretty solid IPA overall, and the wet hopping is nice, but a bit more dryness could have taken it to the next level.

Oct 7, 2008 Pours a nice dark orange amber with a medium thick frothy beige foam on top. Sweet and juicy aroma of caramel malt and citrus hops, a bit of marshmallow. Pretty sweet stuff, like candied pine. I always find it weird when IPA’s are both big salty bitter resin and big sweet fruity citrus... I figure go with one direction rather than both. This stuff isn’t extremely hoppy, or at-least not tasting so fresh. Of course its way sugary, go figure being from Two Brothers.

Oct 2, 2008 Bottle from Belmont Party Supply in Dayton, OH. This was the 2008 Heavy Handed. A dark orange pour with a feisty, lingering head, this IPA had just a slight hop aroma and an average overall flavor. It was malty with a small presence of spice and small finish of piney hops. The problem is for 10.99 a six pack, I don’t want slight and small, I want something explosive and full of hops. A decent beer, but certainly nothing to get overly excited about.
