To me this is a stronger version of Sierra Nevadas’s pale ale. I like it! cheapdark (2047), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

You know, like cutting off the crust and leaving just the white stuff? In the glass has an IPA olfactory, floral hops and such. Filtered clear ruby iced tea color. As expected on the flavors, rude bitter medicine. Lingering finish . IMHO, a decent IPA that lives up to the style. I’m done buying IPA, my baddy. Somebody give me a chaser. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Bottle thanks to drewbeerme. Poured a copper color with a moderate white head. Looked more like an amber than an IPA. Aroma of hops and citrus. Traditional IPA flavor, with a nice malt backbone that leads into a hops hit with citrus undertones and a piney finish. Nice IPA. I had never heard of this brewery until I received the beer in a trade, but I was impressed with it. Thanks Andrew. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2007 Lots 2617 (Cluster hops) A nice healthy orangy amber with a thin white head. The nose is full of hops. Floral slightly piny. A bit grassy. Some mild (for the style) malt that goes a touch darker than most IPAs, but not too far. Relatively full on the tongue, though the carbonation seems very mild. The flavor is bright with hops, but there’s a bit of that garlicy flavor that seems to creep into slightly older hoppy beers, so this might be a bit past peak. Again, big sweet malt, floral hops. The balance is nice, especially in an IPA that isn’t huge on that ABV. The finish is a little less clean than I’d like, but it tastes like age, so I don’t hold it against the beer.
