12 oz bottle purchased at John’s Grocery in Iowa City, IA. Lot 3006. Poured a clear copper color. Head was off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was malty caramel and piney hops with a hint of toffee. Delicately sweet on the tongue with moderate hop bitterness. Malty caramel dominates the flavor with sprucy hops coming in a close second. Not bad at all.

Of the four hop varities offered in 2006, the batch starting 30## is clearly, er hazily, the best. Something about the wet hops that seems different from the rest. Copper? Red? IPA? Copper, for sure. Would love to see an unfiltered version of this very good beer. Two brothers, do you need a third?

12 oz. bottle at flat rock saloon. Pours copper with citrus nose. Nice lacing. Very nice hoppiness without the extreme bitterness. Well done.

Astringent bitterness without the malt to support it. Aroma something akin to what I made as a beginning home brewer; hints of ’off’ flavors that are distracting, at least.

Pours a color of an amber orange with light white head. Aroma of earthy citrus hops and caramel hop. Taste is of earthy resinous citrus hops and caramel malt. Slight note of toffee. Not much else to say. Just an average IPA.

A nice smooth IPA indeed. The pour was a hazy orange with no head. The hoppiness of this beer was almost perfect. Could have been a little fuller, but it was better than a lot of IPAs I’ve had lately. The spiciness was a nice surprise.

interestin ipa. aroma more off spicy hop. there are twinges of lemon and simple crystal malt sweetness. pretty solid and not entirely the norm.

A good IPA. Nothing overwhelming nor underwhelming. A good beer. Spicy, earthy and bitter.
