Small ivory head with poor lacing, transparent, no visible carbonation, and an orange hue with some gold peeking through. Malty, hoppy and notes of grapefruit in the nose. Flavor was some maltiness, hoppy and dry. Not overly hoppy. Mildly tingly and dry mouthfeel. Quaffable, but nothing outstanding. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 2, 2006 My first beer from Two Brothers Brewing Company. The back label says "Two Brothers specializes in rare and seldom-brewed beer styles. Ah yes, the much ignored IPA. It is good to finally see a brewer pay some attention to this "seldom-brewed" style! 12oz single bottle purchased from Charles Street Liquors in Boston. Lot 2525 - no freshness date found. Pours a gorgeous deep cloudy copper with no head. Medium to strong aroma of hops. First taste is full, hoppy and warm. Further tastes continue in a rich vein. Nice brew, but perhaps a bit one-dimensional. A good beer for when you’re just having one.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2006 This was the first IPA that I had after having the amazing Three Floyds Dreadnaught a few days prior. The beer pours a nice cloudy copper hue with a small off white head. Aroma is a piney hops and citrus. Flavor is immediate and strong grapefruit, followed by a nice bittering hop bite, with an almost chalky finish. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2006 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that was and left behind a transparent softly carbonated caramel brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was mild hop and caramel malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and caramel. An OK brew just nothing special. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 19, 2006 Dark Copper with little head, low carbonation and a slight chill haze. Aroma had hints of citrus, however, very faint hops aroma for an IPA, just too malty. The hops flavor did linger after ever sip. Not bad, but there are definitely better IPA’s. johnnypub (10), California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 19, 2006 Bottle. Pours a dark copper with a creamy off-white head. Aroma was all hops: piney and citrusy. Taste was sweet and bitter. Upfront grapefruit hops, followed by some sweet maltiness, into a dry hoppy finish. Very balanced and it was very rich on the palate. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 14, 2006 cask at chicago’s clark street ale house. cask conditioning is great for super hoppy american IPAs. the warmer temperature and flatter carbonation at which this beer was served lent the beer a more tame but balanced profile. not much to say except well done warrenville. oh wait, here are my notes: beautiful red/brown color. mustard head and a lot of head for a cask. beautiful texture. easy 5. probably could use more flavor (it’s no alpha king). highlight is easily the smoothness. served very warm (good). sharp hops in flavor. not my favorite IPA by any means.
