Unclear light to medium orange color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, acidic fruity, malty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a short to average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (190608)

Bottle; last rating in VA. Poured a clear, slightly toasted gold. Smallish off white head. Aroma of alcohol, honey and fruit; sweet. Flavor was more mellow than I thought. Apples, honey and fruit predominantly with some breadiness. ONly marginally sweet. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t very tasty.

Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to ucusty for sharing! Pours a clear orange with a nice white lace. Nose is paint thinner and honey, but mainly the former. Flavor is much better than the nose, but is very bland with a bit of honey. Meh.

Pours a translucent honey gold. Thin white head. The nose is sweet, has some honey, lots of apple in the nose. Flavor is decent, lots of apple, sweet, honey. Sweet sticky mouthfeel.

Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to ucusty for sharing! Golden orange pour with faint carbonation. Nice tart apple nose seems to veer away from style just a touch, but sure enough the brew (fairly mild) finishes with strong flavors of honey and even a trace of vanilla here and there.

Bottled. Clear deep golden, ultra-brief head. The faintest hint of coffee up front. Sweet and understandably honeyish with rounded mouthfeel. Restrained grain, floral flavours, some vanilla jions in. Balsamic finish without bitterness. Nicely warming and without edges, but I ge tthe feeling this beer is just made out of curiousity. Except from the mere fact that this is a rare style it fails to interest me much, and it has limited function as a thirst quencher. So I’ll play ignorant and downrate it.

Bottled. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is honey, nectar, sweet wood and some mild caramel malts. Flavour is honey, sweet malts, fruity hops and also mild saltyness. Finish and aftertaste are mainly sweetness of various kinds.
