The aroma is heavenly for all you hop heads like me, cant get enough. One finger off white head, nice lacing. Nice balance between sweet and hop flavors. When I die I have asked to be embalmed with this stuff. Awesome. fiver29 (732), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Bottle pours a nice orange/amber color. Has a nice white head. Laces the glass well as you drink it. Smell like I just walked into a forest with sappy pine trees surrounding me everywhere. Tastes like sweet caramel with a nice resiny hop aftertaste. One of my favorite IIPA’s. Color is crystal clear beautiful amber. Head disapates fairly quickly but leaves a nice lacing. Scentes of pine but not overpowering with malt in the background. Holds a malty flavor that balances perfectly with the hops while the alcohol just comes through. Drinks smooth... (dangerously smooth) I can certainly finish a couple of these in one sitting at home. Overall an exceptional example of an Imperial IPA with amazing drinkability. Another great beer from the brothers in Warrenville, IL.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 29, 2006 Had a bottle of this prior to my pool-side chill. Nose of pine, citrus, some alcohol, and
spice. Pours an orange copper with yeast men floating around like sea monkeys in my
glass. The ridiculous thick creamy off-white head is fully lasting with great sheets of
rocky lace. The flavor is exceptional - WOW! Perfect 10, stellar finish of dried fruit. The
full body is soft and dry. markgugs (86), Wood Ridge, New Jersey, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jan 29, 2007 A: Pours a gorgeous coppery reddish brown with ample 2 finger head and lots of lacing, before I’ve even taken a sip. Just by looking at this beer (and reading the label which indicates 100.1 IBUs), you know it’s going to be a hoppy/malted monster.
S: For a beer that clearly has a lot of hops and malts, there isn’t much smell at all beyond a faint sweet scent, probably from the hops.
T: No doubt, this baby is a hophead’s dream. Slight grapefruit & pine flavors dominate the initial tastes and then gradual sweetness from the malt gives way to a wonderful, lingering finish before drying up and begging you to take that next sip (gulp). Not as sweet as some DIPAs, not as overly hopped as others, Two Brothers has created a strong balance here. Delicious.
M: Great mouthfeel to this one, the beer deliciously coats the tongue with loads of well, juices from the NW hops. Leaves a slight oily, slick residue with each sip, I find myself smacking my lips with each mouthful.
D: Exceptional. The beer is not heavy at all, especially given the almost barbaric 9.9% ABV, lol. A couple of these bombers and you’d be dancing the Sly & the Family Stone jig, if you get me.
I loved this beer, too bad it’s so limited. As the label says, "...get it now, ’cause when it’s gone, it’s gone. Boo hoo." jstraw (777), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Orange-amber with big, frothy off-white head / Fresh pine, floral, orange & grapefruit nose / Medium body with excellent balance between hops, alcohol and fruit / Complex flavors of fresh pine, violets, clover, grapefruit, orange, and burnt sugar / A tad overly sweet; otherwise, a terrific 2ipa - rivals 3 Floyd’s Dreadnaught. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jul 31, 2005 22 oz. bomber pours a hazy glowing orange color with a thick creamy off-white head that leaves a nice lace in my glass. Nice hoppy aroma of grapefruit and pine, resinous sticky pine and grapefruit flavors , full bodied with a soft and creamy mouthfeel, not syrupy like most double IPAs, finishes with a lingering bitterness, alcohol very well hidden for almost 10%.
