Commercial Description:
Okay, it was going to be a Maibock, but you know how mischievous goats can be...anyway we ended up with this delight. What to do but add a crack of black pepper? Around here we call it Goatzilla, but don't let that fool you, it's mellow as a kitten.

22oz bottle thanks to xnoxhatex for this sample. Pours a clear orange-yellow with a white head. Grainy nose. Lightly sweet and strange. Something off, a bit sour? Similar flavors. Grains, toasted malts, citrus. This is definitely not a doppelbock. If they want to make it a maibock, they should stick with that. But I think this might be another bottling problem, plus age equals another strange 2 brother brew. I feel like I shouldn’t rate their bad bottles (and I haven’t on a few occasions) but it seems too common place with them.

Bottle from Party Chalet in Goshen, IN. I’m pretty sure that this was bottled only once, so this good be up to two years old. Cloudy orange amber with medium white head and nice lacing. Medium sweet, yeasty aroma with orange and some red fruit. Flavor is sweet and light with earthiness, yeast, and a little oak, some sour grapefruit, grain, very nice. Medium body and still well carbonated. A little aged, very nice, though a little sweet and juicy. Why do I always diagree with Drewbeerme on 2B’s beers... Also Andrew if you had read the description...

22oz bottle. thanks to xnoxhatex for sharing. pours clear golden with white head. nose is sweet grains and slightly soured or almost funky with mild pepper in the background. flavor is much of the same, oddly sour at times, and sweet grains/dry hay and biscuity flavors. thin body. again, 2brothers trying to be different and dropping the ball completely.

22 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color. Head was thin and off white with average retention. Aroma was of steeping malted barley and molasses. Very grainy. Sweet on the tongue with a light splash of alcohol and a hint of hop bitterness. The flavor was malt dominated. I tasted husky grain, caramel, and vanilla, but didn’t notice any black pepper in the aroma or flavor. So so.

Pours a slightly hazy copper orange color. Notes on the aroma include big dark malt and caramel. Flavor is similar but with a little syrup added to it. Quite sweet, not overly cloying, but solid. On par with 2 brothers over mediocricy.

22oz bottle, no date. Pours a clear copper orange with what I think was a light beige head--it didn’t last. Aroma of toffee, graham cracker, vanilla, grain, a bit of spice (not black pepper), alcohol, Flavor is vanilla, toffee, earth, spice again, sweet malts, and a bit of alcohol in the dry earthy finish. Something must be wrong with my tasters because everything has had some earth in it tonight. Overall fairly sweet. Light prickly carbonation with a medium to full body. I like this better than their last beer (Opus 10).

Very fine brew. Pours a clear orange color. The aroma is of caramel, malt, some hops and a little citrus. Taste is pretty much even with the aroma to a "T". Good beer.
