Commercial Description:
Okay, it was going to be a Maibock, but you know how mischievous goats can be...anyway we ended up with this delight. What to do but add a crack of black pepper? Around here we call it Goatzilla, but don't let that fool you, it's mellow as a kitten.

22 oz bottle thanks to Santa. Golden Yellow color with a very nice head. Aromas were very sweet and malty. Caramel, a touch of molassas. Flavors were similar with some caramel, vanilla, sweet malty flavors. A good DB.

Bottle. Poured a deep clear magnificent amber with a thin of-whtie head that clings to glasses edge. A fruity hop aroma that is also thick and doughy, all touch off an evident spiciness. Slightly bitter on first taste with a disappointingly slight malt body before finishign bitter. A pervasive spiciness, which is interesting, but seems to steal the show from what should be a sweeter beer, is evident throughout. Does manage to have some richness to it and finishes smooth.

Courtesy of a kick ass santa that is a dad in Ohio. Aroma is very rich with malt and a light spiceiness. Body is a lustrous dark amber and supports a quickly diminishing pinky thin tan head. Fore is sweet with apple and pear and delightfully malty through the middle then finishes with a mild spicy note that balances the beer quite well. Aftertaste is lush and fruity which gives it the feel of a soft white wine. very nice brew.

amber with a small off white head. aroma fruity with light caramel and a hint of vanilla. nicely balanced flavor. bittersweet caramel malt dominates some slight yeasty wheat bread characteristics. medium to full bodied with fairly lively carbonation. on the finish the same caramel malt flavor dominates with nice bit of black pepper spice. solid beer. i would like to drink it again.

Clear light brown brew with a dash of head. Nose is hard to get much out of but some caramel aroma is present. The flavor is a bit more complex with some hops added to the caramel maltiness. Not a bad brew at all.

Bottle from a generous RB’er, sorry I forgot who sent this. Now that qdog sent me some threatening and hateful mail I can thank him for this beer. Thanks Dude!!! Medium to deep amber in color, quite clear. Smallish white head fades out and leaves no lacing. Aroma is malty and sweet with just a touch of herb notes. Medium bodied. A bit spicey in flavor, something in the background toys around pleasantly. Malty, fair hop balance. Alcohol is tucked away nicely. Decently done and interesting.

Bottle... Clear amber lager with orange highlights and a small, fizzy, cream-colored head. Good retention. Malty, spicy aroma with notes of toffee and caramel, suggestions of black pepper and straw and maybe a mild apricot ester. Rich, malty flavor with plenty of bitter hops for balance. Maybe not true to style, but I like the balance provided by the earthy, spicy hops. Full-bodied and silky with medium carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, pink grapefruit finish. A big THANKS goes out to WBC for providing the bottle!

22 oz bottle: Pours fairly thick w/ a short lived white head on a light amber body. Light floral hop aroma at first, then turns to grainy malts and perfumey alcohol. Bready malt gets stronger as it warms. Very sweet flavor up front and into the finish. Light floral hop flavor with toasty and bready malts that outweigh the hop flavor by a little bit. Clean malty flavor througout. Aftertaste is lightly sweet w/ toasty malt and floral hops flavor, also grainy malt. Medium body, low medium carbonation w/a smooth m/f. Not a bad beer, but a bit too sweet even for my beer sweet tooth! Dries out slightly in the finish, but not enough to keep it from being sticky!
