Dark, reddish brown pour with a thin, eggshell shite head. Slightly citrusy nose. Flavor was tart, with some berry, lemongrass, and mild oaky notes. Dry finish. Interesting.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Not awful but a very poor representation of the style. Pours deep orangey amber color with a medium sized canvas head that is bubbly. Nose is sweaty socks, unbaked bread, vinegar, white pepper, hint of green olive, and some sort of off plastic/vinyl smell. Taste is about the same with some styrofoam. Mouthfeel is creamy, yet extremely watery, and the finish is medium length, and somewhat unpleasant. Very uninspiring. fiulijn (7460), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Draught at Rattle ’n Hum, New York Dark brown color. It’s an average caramel brew, with some residual sugars, and just a very light sourness. Short final. Not what somebody would expect. smooch (114), Sylvania, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 23, 2009 This is probably overall one of the worst beers I have ever tasted. An embarassment of the style. Too bubbly and the flavor isn’t truly sour like Duchesse de Bourgnone or others. Just yuck, yuck, yuck...astringent like drinking a chemical. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Bottle shared by nimbleprop: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a thin coating of spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh toasty caramel malts with a touch of light fruity tartness and some mild oak. Starts with a light sugary malty sweetness and a touch of spritzy carbonation and a hint of light fruity tartness and cookie dough before a semi-dry earthy finish. Not much of a sour, but still drinkable. glennmastrange (868), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2009 Bottle. Aromas of moderate straw for the malt, light herbs for the hops, faint mold for the yeast, with grape and wood in the background. Head is small, wispy, white with no lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Flavor is lightly sweet and sour and moderately acidic to start, then finishes moderately acidic, and lightly bitter and sour. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a soft carbonation and a lightly dry and astringent finish. I’m either acquiring a taste for Sour Ales or this is unique amongst the style. nimbleprop (947), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Bottle. pours a ruby red with a small white head. Notes of musty doughy malts, medicine, rotten fruit, wood, bread, toast, vegtables and chocolate. A lot going on, but it came across as a bit muddled. don’t expect it to be sour. sourheads will be dissappointed. thirdeye11 (558), Texas, USA
