Bottle. Pours a brownish orange color with a medium head. Was really expecting more from this beer, all I got was a semi flat, slightly tart ale. There’s just nothing here to make this beer stand out. Weak under carbonated cherry juice. If this is oak aged, I just don’t taste it. These two breweries are capable of so much more.

Bottle shared by nimbleprop: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a thin coating of spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh toasty caramel malts with a touch of light fruity tartness and some mild oak. Starts with a light sugary malty sweetness and a touch of spritzy carbonation and a hint of light fruity tartness and cookie dough before a semi-dry earthy finish. Not much of a sour, but still drinkable.

Bottle. Aromas of moderate straw for the malt, light herbs for the hops, faint mold for the yeast, with grape and wood in the background. Head is small, wispy, white with no lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Flavor is lightly sweet and sour and moderately acidic to start, then finishes moderately acidic, and lightly bitter and sour. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a soft carbonation and a lightly dry and astringent finish. I’m either acquiring a taste for Sour Ales or this is unique amongst the style.

12.7oz bottle shared at the DC Local tasting. Clear, copper brown with a thin, spitty head. Aroma is fairly mild, red grapes, sticky fruits, slightly tart. Flavor is overly sweet, slightly tart, caramel, a little wood. Finish is watery, flat. Not good.

Bottle. pours a ruby red with a small white head. Notes of musty doughy malts, medicine, rotten fruit, wood, bread, toast, vegtables and chocolate. A lot going on, but it came across as a bit muddled. don’t expect it to be sour. sourheads will be dissappointed.

( 375ml bottle) Pours clear brown/garnet with no head. Nose is fruity, salty and faded apple. Taste is fruity, not really sour, disappointing. Apple finish and undercarbonated.

375ml bottle. Poured a medium to deeper amberish color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of manure, earthy, some woodiness, and lighter cherries. Tastes of cherries (more than the aromas), woodiness, and earthy.
