Commercial Description:
OH BROTHER! is one of a series of special limited-run beers in styles that are more extreme or unusual.

This crisp, straw-colored ale is blessed with a host of spicy and fruity aromas. We brew it from pilsener malt, candy sugar and some very non-traditional hop choices. But hey, we never said we were monks. We're just brothers.

Had this on draught at the brewpub in Warrenville, Illinois. Cloudy, opaque and milky light orange pour with a thick, foamy tan head, a strong banana and malty nose, banana bread flavor fades into a dry, lemony and cidery taste, cloying, milky mouthfeel with a sweet, molassasy finish. Interesting, but not my style.

Bomber, Poured a hazy yellowish orangey color, some head. Strong nose of cloves, banana, rye and yeast. Taste is of a medium bodied yeasty a bit off the the malts and fruits. Not quite as good as Chouffe Houblon but a good interpretation of a tripel.

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of acid, spices, cinnamon, apples, and dust. Poured light orange/brown in color with a small tan head that disappeared. Cloudy. Full of tiny and small particles. Turbid. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of yeast, apples, candi sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, and spices. Medium body. Sticky texture. Soft carbonation. Sweet, spiced finish.

Bomber. Poured a cloudy orange with a quickly fading foam/froth head. Doughy, cakey aromas with banana, mild spice and nilla wafers, also some light fruit. Flavor off-sweet biscuity malts with some banana, pear and white grape. Finished more spicy and clovey. Full yeasty body with fine carbonation at first, but seemed to flatten out quickly. Overal pretty decent.

Cloudy orange color. Small foam which settles in a ring. Fairly nice nose. Hints of polish and flowers, along with other hints of a pastry kitchen and a touch of light fruit platter. Flavor has nice balance, with hints of polish and sweet light fruits. Fairly respectable American example of the triple style.

Pour is a cloudy oranger-red with a small white head. Aroma is a nice mix of banana and candi sugar. Flavor is very yeasty and fruity with a bit of the candi sugar and some spice. It leaves a little funk after the swallow. Probably not a spot on example of the style but this is still a tasty beer.

Bottle from Dilly Deli shared by shigadeyo. Poured hazy yellow color with an moderate fizzy white head that mostly lasted with minimal lacing. Moderate yeasty sweet citrus aroma. Medium body. Medium sweet & sour citrus flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where not met.

Pours a hazy yellow. Very strong nose of banana and spices. It comes across the palate as the with a strong banana and a light spice to it. It has a slight bitter after taste.
