drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2009 Had on tap at the brewpub. I love Two Brothers but wasn’t impressed much by this IPA. zapprentice (309), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 2, 2009 Aroma is slightly grainy malt and full of citrus fruits. Taste is very similar. Not complex but not bad. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 1, 2009 Tap at BT. Aroma of tropical fruits, perhaps papaya and/or passionfruit?...in any case, fruity hop goodness. Flavor adds a big dose of sweet malt to all the fruity hoppiness. Tasty stuff. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 31, 2009 On tap at Blind Tiger. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, hop oils, and crackery malt. Flavor of some of the same crackery malt and citrusy hops. Very drinkable and delicious.
8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5) PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Jul 30, 2009 Tap at Blind Tiger: Hazy orange with dense consistent film of head. Mild grapefruit character in the aroma with some cookie-like malt notes and caramel. Creamy on the palate. Decent flavor, yet it has an odd artificial sweetener note that coats the palate. Cookieish sweet malts with a syrupy orange note and that coating artificial sweetner aftertaste which ruins a potentially mediocre IPA. Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 28, 2009 16oz draft @ For the Love of Hops 6/609-Pours a orangish amber with a decent off white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Tast of the same with a little malt thrown in. This medium bodied brew is quite tasty. Dough77 (771), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2009 nice enjoyable, possibly sessionable, crisp hoppy offering. has a slight marshmellowness taste to it mixed with heavy resiny piney hop, some notes of caramel. overall something I wouldn’t kick out of the fridge for spilling crackers if a mini keg made its way in there. tmoreau (527), Lombard, Illinois, USA Jun 9, 2009 Updated: Jun 19, 2009On tap at the 2 Bros. Tap House. Pint served a deep amber with a modest, off-white head that reduced fairly quickly to a layer but left some clingy lacing. Nose was smooth malt, and a solid compliment of floral/citrusy/resiny hop notes. The flavor exhibited a nice balance of the malt and hops, finishing with a decent hop bitterness. A refreshing, standard IPA. 6/18/09, Now a little more sweet, caramel malt is present in the flavor.
