average beer across the board for me. pours a golden yellow with some hints of orange. zero carbonation. though there is a bit of a white head. this beer has zero bubbles.
smells, looks, tastes exactly like a Macro. could have been a Miller Lite and i would have been none the smarter. not that that’s a bad thing but i expected a little more. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 15, 2007 bottle - Pours a slightly cloudy gold with very little head. The aroma is light and mildly hoppy. Malt and yeast flavors are supported by a moderate hops bite. The palate seems thin at first, but as it warms this improves. Well balanced and like many beers, one that improves as it warms from refridgerator to cellar temperature, this is a fairly good beer, but Two Brothers makes better. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 24, 2006 12 oz bottle from Armanetti’s in Antioch, IL (October 2006), a bit below cellar temperature in a Chouffe tulip. Slightly oily clear amber-gold pour with a smallish quick-receding head that leaves just a bit of fine lacing....sweetish aroma, honey and berries (cran and blue), a touch of cookie dough though it doesn’t seem worty/underfermented, faintly floral, quite nice....fairly dry, mineralic body, somewhat earthy and saison-like though certainly not as complex as most decent examples of that style, but there are decent light malts here too....tingly light carbonation, drinkable but for me a bit too dry/thin/bland overall to register as anything memorable or likely to be revisited. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 19, 2006 Bottle. Sweet and yeasty aroma, malty with light spice. Clear pour, perfect but slightly thin golden color, sticky off-white head. Moderately crisp with light bitterness, very European, but not really Belgian. A little too much in the way of plastic, though. Slightly dry finish. A little earthy and Saison-like. Sweet and spicy with a side of subtle sourness. I’ll not be tasting this again. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2006 On tap at the brewery. Not knowing the style at the time of consumption, I’d have placed this one as a Kolsch (outside of the fact that it wasn’t brewed in Köln.) Pale golden yellow (imagine that) with a soft pillowy white foam cap lining the top. Aroma reveals few surprises, but it keeps good pace: lemon butter over corn chex cereal, mild touches of lemon grass, a hint of sucked on lemonheads and a slight acidic ring. Flavor builds on the aromatic precursors with a light fruity balance. The lemonheads come out again but give a touch of creamy vanilla , from a standpoint of being sucked on for a while. There’s a touch of lemon soap, but it’s maintained by a wholesome breadiness and a caramel contribution to counter any citric renegades that get out of balance. Effervescent, light-bodied and balanced, finishing up with a hint of herbal lemon buttered croissants. Hard to offend. Strykzone (1497), Wood River, Illinois, USA

There is some bitter aftertaste but a nice little beer for a hot day. dwestenk (2), USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Pale golden in appearance with short lasting white head. Slightly bitter, somewhat thin, little aftertaste. A nice, refreshing summer beer.
