From bottle, blindtasting #3. Pours hazy dark brown with yeast floaties and a diminished off-white head. Mild acidic and roasted malty aroma. Flavour is mild fruity, solid yeasty and with a distinct dry sourness swept through. Dry acetone and roasted malty finish. Lasting fruity finish.

A good deal of oak on the nose. Some nice funky undertones, light tart fruit. Pours a dark red tone with a nice fluffy head and decent sticky lacing. Woody flavors are followed by a light fruitiness that comes across as sweet and somewhat tart. A bit of funk hangs out on the palate for a second too. Tartness level is medium and the oak is pretty dominant. Somewhat dry mouth feel too.

Smells like oak, wood, a little tart too. Burgundy/purple concoction with a nice thick head. Pretty solid, not very see through. Lots of oak, a little metallic, then tartness. Some cherry sweetness as the end. Finishes tart and somewhat sour. Mild carbonation.

A Mes rate: Bottle at weekend of tarts afterparty.
Murky brown with a thin beige film. Excellent aroma with a good balance of tart sourness, sweet caramel and slight cherry fruity notes. Tart barrelly flavour, vinous, rather a lot of cherry, maybe too much, nice and funky but maybe a little too much wood. More of it in the finish with yet more cherry sweetness. A reasonable US lambic but lacking a bit of finesse.
