Pours a dark black with a one finger dark tan head. The nose shows some age, mild coffee, some cardboard, roasty, chocolate. Flavor is roasty with some chocolate malt, mild coffee flavor and a little oxidation. Palate shows a medium roast and a detectable bitterness.

On tap at the Grumpy Bulldog in Naperville. I felt this was a rather one sided beer overall. There are some good things going on, but if it were a bit more hopped up, I think it would have been quite nice. As it is though, there were a good amount of roasted nuts, coffee, creamy chocolate, and some slightly off malted malts in both the flavor and aroma. It had a creamy, medium thick body that was pretty nice for the abv. Looked similar to coffee in a way with a light layer of cream head as well. Definitely could be some improvement here, but it still has peaked my interest in trying more of what 2 brothers has to offer.
