this is an odd one. its a pale for sure, but its not dry or stiff like others. its almost like a hoppy lager. its got a more quenching quality.

Above average darker yellow pour. Hoppy aroma and taste, but the flavor is a bit watery on the swallow. Tastes like Sam Adams with a truck load of hops added.

Tap at The Lodge. If this were an ESB I would be raving because this is great for that style. But American Pale? Nonsense. Nose is sweet malt, almonds, not a trace of hop. Flavor is a nice sweet ESB flavor - I can’t put it any better. Not a US Pale.

I did not enjoy this pale ale much at all. Not a lot of hops were present and it wasn’t very bitter like the label states. Watery and grassy, just not anything to get excited about.

nose of lager malt and floral hops. flavor is well bittered and wet lager malt turns to crisp pale malt that quenches the thirst. appearance is a shade beyond pale towards dark.

Pours clear medium amber with a 1 finger creamy off white head. Aroma is citrus, sweet grass, light caramel and some wet rock mineral notes. Flavor is sweet malt, a little caramel, light sweet grainy notes, a little buttery toasted bread and mineral notes. FInish is lightly bitter hops, a little citrus and sugary sweet malt. Palate is fairly light bodied kinda slick on entry and off dry finishing. Can’t complain about this stuff, but it’s really not much to brag about.

On tap for growler fills at Half-Time. Pours a clear brown amber with a medium white head. Nice citrus hop notes, with a touch of caramel. Medium bodied and some light maltiness. Nice slow bitter finish, but a touch metallic.
