Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Draft: Poured a golden orange with a nice white head. The aroma was sweet hops and pine. The flavor was hops, citrus and bitters. Overall, one of the best I’ve ever had.

From a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours with about 3 fingers of super fluffy white head which disappears within a couple minutes. Fluffy lacing remains throughout. Pours a dark golden, almost copper color with a little bit of haze from the yeast at the bottom of the bottle. There were also a few dark floaties in there. They didn’t look like yeast and I kinda doubt they were supposed to be there. Taste was of sweet and spicy hops. It’s hoppy but I thought it would be super hoppy. But that’s a good thing as I don’t like hop bombs. It’s surprisingly balanced for a higher rated IPA but the hops dominate. A very good IPA but what’s up with the floaties?

Smells great, sweet floral hop aroma. Taste is more subtle than your typical west coast IPA, and I was a bit surprised by how pale this beer is. Taste is crisp citrus hops. Body is good. Solid beer.

12oz bottle 10/3/09 ($.99 at Sam’s Wine & Spirits)-Pours a slightly hazy golden color. Aroma of hops and citrus. Taste of bitterness, citurs, hops, and some sweetness. This medium bodied brew is very well balanced and it finishes with a nice dryness. Great balance and taste. Awesome.

Bottle at Akkurat in August 2009. Lovely golden color, large and fine foam. A lot of citrus, hops and pine. The first thing I noticed in the taste was the delicious bitterness. But fortunately the beer was not only bitter, there was a nice balance and a certain sweetness. Undeniably a great beer!

Bottle at Akkurat, shared by plovmand. Pours golden with a dense off white head. Aroma is sweet fruit, hops, apricot, peach and malt. Flavour is fruity as well with hops, hay, peach, pineapple and citrus notes. Its well balanced but with a bit of a "sharp" bitter after taste.

Bottle. A hazy amber with large foamy head. Huge aroma of citrus, pine and floral hops, and the flavor follows. Nice body, great feel.

draft - a very flavorful IPA with a bigger nalt profile than many. This adds balance and gives a great interplay of flavors. The hopping keeps strong fruit, but not just citrus, also apple and maybe some other fleshy fruits. crisp finish. Also slightly resiny and has a bit of herbal funk. nice looking to boot.
