Earthy with some hints of fruit, very faint though. Sits very nice in the mouth and goes down very smooth. A very great IPA. Would definitly try again. Bov (5495), Bienne, Switzerland

Poured a haxy amber orange with a tall creamy off-white head. There was a good sweet malt aroma. There was a light caramel scent and some citrus in the aroma too. There was a mellow sweetness initially then some citrus and a bite from the hops and good flavor on the finish. This bottle was over a year old and the hops had probably mellowed out somewhat, so I’ll have to get a fresher bottle and rerate. It was still rather good Elkas (86), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 11, 2009 bottle, pours a light copper with a medium white head. Strong aroma of grapefruit and hops. Light candied malt body that remains lightly sweet until a hop bitterness shows up and builds into a nice dry and bitter finish. Very refreshing and easy to drink. jimmyjack (7), USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 5, 2009 Cascade hits nose quick, complex texture allows hops to break in to every bit of rich but light malt palate. the bitterness holds long, head is well laced and fizz distributed widely on the palate. As it warms in the glass, more fruitty details come forth. Purity of malt, base bitter and finish taste makes this a fine example; exceptional and obtainable. wavers1 (174), novato, California, USA
